This is a very unique and genuinely old bronze bust statue. I\'m not an expert in this particular field or area of Asia, but I believe it is from India or Southeast Asia. This statue came from the estate of a man named Robert Cornell, who owned a high end Asian Antique Gallery, and traveled the world buying and selling wonderful antiques. Please do a google search with his name to find out more on some of his sales. His name gives this piece a good provenance. The statue looks to be 19th century or older, and the beautiful patina seems to be right. The base is unsealed, and filled with old cement or old dirt. The third eye and designs on the left arm lead me to believe it is from India or SE Asia. The bust style design is quite unusual though. Definitely a great bronze statue to look into more, and add to any collection.
