ORIGINAL TIBET/MONGOLIA 19TH C. THANGKA OF LOKESHVARA

For your consideration, from a Private Canadian Collection, this is a very rare miniature thangka depicting a 3-headed Lokeshvara with 3 additional diminutive Buddhist heads, draped in colorful and ornate silks, sitting in a meditative state above an integral lotus base. The figures jewelry, ornamentation, and aureola emblazoned in a fire gilding. Measures 9 x 7 inches. This piece was collected by the owner during travels through Mongolia. Extremely fine painting.
