153 year old Sketch Book of August Oehm!

22 leaves (44 pp.) containing 25 pages of amazing original pencil drawings including people, buildings, animals, calligraphy and Fraktur drawings! Origin likely German. Front cover reads \'Zeichenbuch fur August Oehm 1863\' which translates to \'Sign Book of August Oehm, 1863\'.

Handwritten note card on inside tells us that these drawings were done by a 13 year old August Oehm born on April 18, 1850. The drawings are very well done and absolutely stunning; some more detailed than others but all fascinating and over 150 years old!

In Good overall condition. Blue soft cover paper wraps exhibit moderate wear, soiling, staining. Spine exhibits chipping and light cracking to paper with some small pieces missing. Front cover has title label affixed to it. Original string binding is strong and tight and all pages are firmly secure. The drawings are in Good condition with light wear, soiling and foxing.

Measures 8 1/4\" x 7\" and 1/4\" thick.

Overall a fascinating collection of original drawings from over 150 years ago that are sure to please!
