Up for sale is this gorgeous, 19th century wall hung pipe box. Made from stunning, highly figured tiger maple, it is from the New England area and dates from between 1830 and 1850.Pictures don\'t do it justice. It exhibitsnail construction with a wonderful patina. The back does have some insect damage, although I have experienced insect damage myself, and a small check crack, but the front and sides are mint. Top of the box has really nice scroll work. Box is very nicely made, and the maker certainlyfound some wonderful tiger maple to build this one.The box measures 14 and 3/4 inches tall, 4 and 1/2 inches wide, and 4 inches deep.
