...... Constructed from Cast Iron with hand Wrought Iron accents these small antique Victorian Gates are all original. These gates were purchased directly from the Narragansett Rhode Island Estate of Robert Dun. Robery Greham Dun, of Dun and Bradstreet, built what many consider the premier showplace property for Narragansett Rhode Island’s wealthy summer crowd during the 1880s Victorian period. Called Dunmere Cottage, this small stone castle was built on a 13 acre oceanfront piece property. You can Google this Narragansett landmark. Because of the value of property in this area the estate was shrunk down over the years from the original 13 acres to only 3.5 acres. The iron gate in this sale was purchased when the parts and items from the grounds and out buildings of the estate were sold.
... Each gate measures 28 1/8” long by 29 ¼” at its tallest point. All you need is the post and pins and you can hang these gates in your garden. The gothic style is from the Victorian period, and would have gone with the Robery Greham Dun, of Dun and Bradstreet, built what many consider the premier showplace property for Narragansett Rhode Island’s wealthy summer crowd during the 1880s Victorian period.
