DESCRIPTION:

Antique tole painted snuff box.

Hand fabricated metal. Hand painted decoration.

Unmarked.

Early to mid 19th century. Country of origin unknown. Possibly American.

CONDITION:

Typical use and handling related wear to the exterior; scattered light surface rubs and scratches, some areas of minor loss to the paint with light surface oxidation in these areas, some shallow depressions on the bottom that are not conspicuous. See photos.

There is some light bubbling to the paint on the interior. See photos.

Otherwise this box is in excellent, all original condition. No damage and no significant wear. No restorations.

No significant loss, dings, dents, significant scratches, cracks, splits or breaks.

Hinge moves freely as intended. Clasps securely.

Attractive untouched original patina as found.

Displays well.
