Beautiful late 19th century tea caddy by premier maker Dominick & Haff, New York. Of very fine quality sterling silver. Octagonal urn shaped, with beaded pedestal foot and collar. Lid is removable (not hinged). Single initial monogram on one panel.

SIZE: Approximately 5 1/2\" tall and about 2 1/2\" wide. Weight is about 151 grams or 4.85 troy ounces.

MARKS: Marker\'s mark for Dominick & Haff indicating \"925\" silver standard with year mark in diamond of 1895 or 1896 (it is a little hard to tell for sure if the last digit is a 5 or a 6). Marked \"sterling\" and \"175\" (likely the form number). Also marked \"E.A.Brown\" (believed to be a retailer\'s mark).

CONDITION: Antique item. Two minor flaws. One very subtle impression on the panel just left of the front panel with the initial. One pin head size dent on one of the back panels. A little discoloration/wear deep inside the interior. Has been gently polished to judge condition. There may be some light tarnish by time of delivery.
