Description

Fine quality antique sterling silver tea caddy by Gorham Silversmiths. Concave form with gentle curves. Removable cap has beaded rim and elegant script monograms indicating that it was a gift.

SIZE: Approximately 4\" tall and about 2 3/4\" wide. Opening is 1 5/8\". Weighs about 124.7 grams or 4 troy ounces.

MARKS: On underside of base: Gorham symbols, Sterling, 330 (pattern number?) and the Gorham date code of 1896. Additional marks on interior of cap: Sterling 330.

CONDITION: Antique item. Retains a warm patina. Expect light tarnish. There is two noticeable impression like dents near the base as shown in photos. In addition, there are several very tiny pinhead size dents in the body. Some discoloration spots on interior. Cap is in very nice shape, with just one very subtle impression around 9 o\'clock. I also see a few scratched areas in the interior at the areas where the dents are on the exterior. Not mint, but a very pretty caddy. Presents beautifully!
