Antique 24\" Max Handwerck Bebe Elite Doll with Bisque Head, Marked \"Max Handwerk Bebe Elite 286/8 Germany. Composition Body with the red stamp \"Max Handwerk Made in Germany\" on her back left hip.This pretty Doll has a fully jointed composition body. She has beautiful dark brown sleepy eyes. She has four teeth exposed in very nice condition. She has beautiful thick original eyelashes. The lashes over her left eye are not as lush, and are thinned out in the middle. She also has painted eye lashes and eye brows in brown with a nice color to them. Her lips and cheeks are painted and in beautiful condition. Little dot rub on her right cheek. She has a cute dimple in her chin. She has her original wig in very good condition. I believe it is mohair. Her bisque head is in excellent condition without and cracks or chips. She has some dirt and on her face and could benefit from a cleaning from someone who knows how to clean a doll from this time period. The composition body has paint chipping, somecracking, light rubs and some discoloration of color, possibly due to age. Her arms are connected way too tight and her left arm keeps trying to go into the arm socket hole. I placed a thin fabric bandage in the area to keep the arm stabilized so it does not cause any further problems. I do not know how to restring the arms. Her fingers and toes are all there and in pretty nice condition with just a tiny paint chip on her left toe. Please see pictures. Her dress, slip, pantaloons, socks and shoes all appear to be original and fit her very well. They are slightly discolored and stained from age with some wear and minimal deterioration. This doll comes from a smoke-free estate, and I am not a doll expert. I have tried my best to explain the doll and to show the complete doll in the pictures. Please look at the pictures.
