Offering this fantastic large antique model GermanDreadnaught style war ship. The style is pre 1916 and has the early ram bow. Iam not sure how old the actual model is, but it appears vintage 1920s to 1930sperhaps. It was designed for a live steam engine. It is made of wood and metal. The hull and deck are wood and it has metal armor skin around the hull. Thereare holes through the steel plating below the deck line around the ship, whichwould ventilate the heat from the steam boiler. Bing and Marklin had similardesigns on their early tin ships produced which had steam engine options. Thisship also has metal details above deck. The gun turrets are tin metal with woodguns. The stacks are tin. The ship measures about 50 inches long and about 8inches wide at the widest area. I don’t know anything about who built it but ithas that fantastic look. The center super-structure lifts off to fit and accessthe engine. The rear gun plate lifts off to access the propeller shaft andanother hatch at the rear to access the rudder control. When I acquired it, itcame with a large steam engine that was too big for it. I then sourced theengine that you see, which consists of a brass boiler with a steel shield, brass funnel, tin alcohol fuel tray and brass single cylinder engine. It iscomplete and mounted to an asbestos block. It kind of fits perfect and shouldwork great, although it was never hooked up. Very little modification should beneeded to make it functional. The rudder blade has come detached from therudder shaft but is present. The propeller is intact and connected to theshaft. I added the reproduction Marklin tin Flag to the rear. The mast has beenbroken and repaired, which is quite minor. Most of the rigging appears to beintact and original. The patina is fantastic and the boat is quite clean. Avery intriguing, attractive and one of a kind model.

I am uncertain how I will ship this, probably in 2 separatepackages. I will not know actual International shipping cost until it is soldand packaged, but because of the size and weight, I would assume $200 or more. Australia is very expensive because of services available. I am guessing over $400 and beacuse of size and weight, I may not be able to ship to some countries. Thank you.
