Vintage / Antiqueunopened package of \"Featheredge Braid\", Article 2099/5. 6 yards. Made in Germany.Originalblack paperbands are present. Ivory in color withminimal age discoloration. Package bundle measures about4 3/4\" in length and about 1 1/4\" wide. It probably qualifies to be called NOS; \"New Old Stock\", butit is almost 100 years old! Very pretty and hard to find!

This is a very small size and perfect for lace projects with very small size thread.

This is also calledfeather braid. There are about13 to 14\"peaks\" per inch and there is a small loop at the apexfor lace or crochet work. Vintage crochet books from the late 1800\'s and early 1900\'s have numerous patterns that incorporate this braid to make stunning laces.The majorityof this type of braid wasmade in pre WWI Germanyand is not longer produced.
