Stunning Detail in a Floral Depiction of Pansies

Description ~ Absolutely lovely hand painted purple & yellow pansies over primary yellow & pastel blue washes with raised gold & white scroll work over the floral painting. This beautiful large hair receiver was hand painted by an incredibly talented amateur artist. The form and use of space are highly decorative and the painting itself is very clean, (no muddied colors) with a realistic depiction. The artist initials on the bottom appear to be E.J.T. The quality of this person work reflects incredible talent.

Condition ~ excellent; there are not any cracks or scratches, **note** one small flake or chip. The colors are bright and full. **Minor Faults** Please note in photos;

Gold rim has gold loss.
One small flake/chip on the rim of the body.
My photos are of such a high resolution that this looks more apparent in the photography than actual viewing.

Limoges Porcelain in the second half of the 19th century: The world exhibitions stimulated competition and development for the factory. That is why, as of 1851, the objects were marked, so that they could be recognized by the thousands of visitors of the exhibitions. The expertise and technical knowledge of the factories were undisputable. This is also the era when the factories aimed at developing the name Blanc de Limoges, in order to endorse the quality of the porcelain clay and the perfection of the production technique. The objects shown impress with their perfect form and their whiteness.
