Wonderfully decorated is this vintage 1900\'s hand painted AK & CD Limoges France Roses Bowl. Alexander Klingenberg and Charles Dwenger combined decorating studios in the late 1890\'s and continued in business until 1910.
The beautiful, large bowl, which measures 10 1/8\" wide and 2 1/4\" tall, has been superbly decorated with vibrant Red and Pink Roses and a Yellow Flower Reflecting in a Pond of Water against background colors in shades of green. The center design has been outlined in fancy scalloped, raised gold gilt with additional heavy gold gracing the outer beaded rim. The bowl\'s interior color is a light cream color while the outside is white.
The attractive Limoges Roses bowl is in very good condition and totally free of chips, cracks, or repairs.....with very minor wear of the gold and one surface scratch in a green leaf.
The Roses bowl displays a double Limoges mark [see photo] and has been signed by \"Roye\". I\'m not sure if he worked for a French Limoges factory or was an American Artist.
The beautiful Roses Bowl shows and displays exceptionally well.
