This a Kuba Noble\'s fly whisk which was used basically as a prestige object. It is made from animal hair/tail, metal , wood, hand-woven raffia textile, cowry shells, and glass \"Dutch tile\" trade beads. The handle measures about 5 3/4 inches long.
