Up for sale is this really unique antique photo. I am not sure if it is a tintype, ambrotype, or daguerreotype. It is inside the original ornate case. The spine is coming apart but it is still together. the photo is very unusual and, to me, it looks like an African American or an ethnic man--see photos to decide. He has on a hat and a thicker type of belt around his waist. His shirt buttons up the front. In some angles it looks like a larger woman but again I am not sure. There is a small tear in the velvet material on the other side of photo--it has faded as well. The photo still has glass and gold rim. A lovely piece of american history.
