This is a maker that is getting more difficult to find. The tall teapot has an impressed mark on the underside of the base that reads, \"A. PORTER\". This is the mark of Allen Porter who worked out of Westbrook, Maine between 1830 - 1840. This maker is listed in \"Guide To American Pewter\" by Carl Jacobs, page 147, where a tall teapot was valued at $60 back in 1957.
