It belonged to my Grandpa, born in the late 1800s in Scotland, Married in San Francisco in the 1920s. I believe it was a wedding gift.It\'s markes with the Watrous Manufacturing makers mark and stamped Sterling. Gilt inside.It\'s hand engraved SEM in a wonderful Art Deco font.The hinge is spring loaded so it springs open, and closes with a satisfying snap. Hinge and catch are in excellent working order.Measures 4 1/8\" x 3 1/4\", 10.5cm x 3.5cmSterling silver, weighs 4.15oz, 119g.
