This is a high quality antique Art Deco brass octagon shaped convex bubble glass frame with its original child photo. It dates circa 1920s or 1930s. Overall it measures 15 7/8 inches x 9 7/8 inches (40.3cm x 25.1cm). The back opening measures about 1/4 inch smaller at 15 3/4 inches x 9 3/4 inches (40 cm x 24.8 cm). The metal molding is 1 inch wide (2.54 cm).This is a beautiful and well made frame with great lines and dimension.It was probably a very expensive frame in its day. It\'s quite classy.It can be hung up or can stand. The velvet back has scuff marks and is lightly discolored.There\'s a very slight separation of the black reverse painted glass on the bottom (please see photo), but nothing major. There is a small paper label on the back that says A Midwest Studios Portrait PORTLAND OREGONIt weighs just over 2 lbs. 8 oz. (1.14 kg). It has what I always look for in frames, that wonderful old world look!
