Antique Art Deco Edwardian Beaded Flapper Purse Handbag Ornate - Needs TLC:

This is from an estate and although beautiful it has its flaws. Firstly, the interior lining is shredded and needs repair. It can be worn without the lining as the beads would hold your items but I want to make that clear - the lining IS shredded and in need of TLC. There are also some tassel fringe beads missing - at least three strands on the one side. You do not see it while carrying or hanging but if you spread it out, you see it. There is also some greenish patina to one side of the ornate frame....metal unknown but have never seen any design like it...it is very ornate AND old!
On the up-side. This is a very old purse...dating this back to the Victorian timeframe. The clasp still works and it is useable as is. It is a Carmel color beaded bag. Measures 6 inches top to bottom (storage area) and approx 6 inches wide at its widest part, 4 inches near the frame top. From chain strap top to bottom of tassels is approx 17 inches. Some lose threads here and there, I will leave that for you as I do not want to cut or trim anything to avoid bead loss. Definitely a very interesting piece of history here...even if for the frame alone or for display.

I did put a small reserve on this due to the nature of this item, it is definitely a piece of history and you just do not find them everyday even with theflaws noted.
