Antique and very unusual Art Deco JUMP HOUR Wristwatch, not signed, but possibly UNIVERSAL Brand. Nickel Chrome. Hand Winding Movement Caliber 5 (AS 340). Made in Switzerland. Circa 1920’s
Movement: Manual hand-winding movement, caliber 5 (marked under the balance wheel, but in fact it is a caliber AS 340). Monometallic balance. Breguet hairspring. No visible signs on it, except by “Swiss” on time discs.
Dial: There is no dial, just three discs (one for hours, another for minutes, and the last one and smaller, for seconds) in white background, with black Arabic numerals.
Case: Nickel chrome. Two body. Rectangular shaped. Faceted front with three apertures, the first small one for hour, the second and largest for minutes, and the last small one, for seconds. Solid lugs. Crown at 3 o’clock. Nickel chrome snap and hinged caseback, marked inside “Nickel Chrome”.
Dimension: 38 (lug to lug) x 25 milimeters.
Condition: Movement: good and working properly. Dial: white discs are complete and readable, but showing some background wear (also factory original, not repainted or refinished). Case: showing scratches and small marks, mainly on back (please check the larger photographs for read this next important information before buying or offerding
