This is a beautiful gold gilt Art Nouveau clock by one of America\'s best makers of Art Nouveau. It is a combination of gold gilt and patination, as you can see in the photos. Mr. Cupid sits atop time, at the top of the world, and waves what looks like a small bunch of flowers. His slight clothing swirls around him as the time ticks on, past when it was made, in the 1890s. The clock body itself is covered with and surrounded by the typical scrolls and C-scrolls one associates with the Art Nouveau movement.The gilding appears to be in fine condition, as is the patination, the shadows you see in the photos. There is a little wear to the gilding on the cupid; please examine photos. The dial and the clockworks, which are frozen, probably due to over-winding, are original. You can see the JB & Co signature on the dial and also on the bottom of the clock; all is original, including the beveled glass in front of the dial. The back of the clock reads \"The Jennings Brothers MFG CO, Bridgeport Conn U.S.A.\" There are no repairs that I can see, cracks, scratches, breaks, missing parts or pieces. A great original clock in fine condition, but check out the photos carefully to make your own determination.Dimensions:
