Antique Victorian Art Nouveau long chain necklace / sautoir. 18k yellow gold. Made in France, circa 1900.

Measurements: Approximately 31 inches (79cm) long. Weighs 16.3 grams.

Long chain necklace that can be wound around the neck more than once or worn long towards the waist. Made up of long oval links with filigree wirework pattern in an abstract sheath of wheat design. Small round links connect the long decorative links. Extremely versatile, dresses up any outfit.

Marks: there are a number of French hallmark, including the eagle head for 18k gold on one of the end links. The original old clasp is also hallmarked.

Condition: good with negligible wear commensurate with age. One newer link has been added to make using the large clasp easier. It has a little dark spot on it. It is not an integral part of the original necklace and can be easily replaced. Please see enlarged pictures and don\'t hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
