antique fine screw off lid its from the Earl of Yarborough estate....and its made by ASPREY & Co of London....1938 ..it has traces of ladies makeup powder in in it now but of course it could have any number of uses... its a BEAUTIFUL box. Here is one of a number of items which belonged to the Earl of Yarborough Estate ..all of which came in together from a country house estate live sale. Ideal if you are either related to the family or area or you just collect quality antiques.
Here is an antique sterling silver screw off lid trinket box of cylindrical form...it has the remains of ladies make up powder in it which I like to leave items in the condition they come in... so there you are.. it could of course be used for any number of things these days ....its a beautiful engine turned design on the lid and everywhere else is plain.. no dents or knocks ..it will polish up just grand.
Inside is gilt silver.
The box is 2 and 1/8th inch dia x 1 and 1/2 inch tall ..it weighs approx......144grams.
Hallmarks on the inside of the gilt interior box and under the lid as well.... A&Co Ltd London 1938.
