Eastern European Icon- Altar Piece Fragment

19th Century

Title- Portrait of Christ

A very old work- we are listing this one as 19th Century though it could be earlier. Possibly an altar piece fragment or a small portable travelling icon.

Age- 19th Century

Size- 4.5 by 3 inches approx (115 x 75 mm).

Medium- Oils on wooden panel.

Condition- Generally dark and dirty, some thinner paint areas throughout. Worn areas to the field, nail holes in all corners.

Frame- Unframed.
