Brewery crate from Anton Seif Brewery in Holland MI. I believe this is very rare. I have not seen or heard of another and my research indicates the Seif brewery was only in production for a breif time and only in Holland Michigan. I believe it closed just prior to prohibition. I am putting up here at a price Just picked out of the blue as I have no idea what it may be worth. I would love to hear from anyone who has or knows of another. Please feel free to offer advice, information, ask questions , tell me I\'m way off base or whatever!:). It has the logo stamped on each side, has a small metal tag corroded and unreadable on one side and clearly shows bottle marks in the bottom of 12 larger size bottles. One of the bottom boards appears to have been replaced at some point during its use. It\'s kind of a greenish gray paint and finish looks all original and untouched although for some reason it is down into the stamped/burned in lettering on one side. it is 12 1/2\" deep, 13 1/2\" wide and 18\" long.It shows a lot of use and wear but is pretty sturdy. I found a newspaper clipping from the Grand Rapids press Jan16 1997 briefly mentioning the Seif brewery. You can also find a little about it online. I read somewhere it was open for a year and another source said a few years, I am uncertain, I would love to hear from anyone who has any bottles or other Seif items. I lived in Holland MI for 16 years and got this at an estate sale.Jon
