The badge is being saleed as a collectible item only. This is a strange one. If I had to guess, this is a fantasy piece made by someone some time ago, however I could be wrong. The badge is definately old with nice patina. It appears to me to be a genuine antique Boston and Northern St. Ry. Co. button that was soldered to an antique badge. The badge says special patrol. The Boston and Northern Street Railway Company was a trolley/streetcar company. Could be gunuine, but i will let pics speak for themselves.No makers mark.Excellent antique condition with nice patina of age. Rare piece to add to your collection.
