BEFORE offerDING - THANK YOU!***A lovely hand knotted Antique Butterscotch Amber Necklace!
It weighs 96 gr. - (the clasp is approximately 13 gr. of the total weight)
The antique (hollow) clasp is marked 925 and shows a reflection in the photos
It measures 25 inches in length, the largest bead is 18 x 22 mm, the smallest is 10 mm
I believe it is from the 1920\'s
It appears to be in very good antique conditionThere is a chip on one of the yellow beads - I have inspected every bead with a flashlight, there are tiny stress fractures from age on the outside of some of the small beads
I am not an expert but I have been told (by a more knowledgable person than myself) that these beads are made by melting/molding smaller pieces of amber together(A fairly common practice with amber beads from Europe I have also been told)They are still 100% amber, but NOT being sold as \"natural\"amber
