Antique Easter Bunny Candy Container And Elf
Up for sale is an Antique Easter bunny candy container and elf that I just created in my studio in northern New York. No. The Easter bunny does not deliver all of those eggs by himself! The Easter bunny needs help delivering all of those eggs and the elf is always there to help him! As you can see, the elf is carrying a little bunny toy and a nice big egg for that special boy or girl! The bunny candy container was in rough shape when I purchased it. I have restored him and he is now absolutely beautiful and ready to go to a new home! When I purchased the bunny I noticed that he had gotten so hungry on his travels that he ate his first carrot so I made him a new one that he now carries in his mouth. The new carrot is made of clay and the leaves are real goose feathers. The bunny candy container has glass eyes. His new cloth blanket is aged and trimmed in German Dresden trim. The little elf has a hand sculpted and painted face, hands and boots. His coat and pants are hand dyed. His beard and hair are real wool. The little elf is not fastened to the bunny and can be removed if you like. The elf has a little bunny toy that I also created from clay and hand painted. The Easter egg in the elf’s hand is also made of clay and hand painted. On the underside of the bunny it is marked Germany as shown in one of the photos. The elf, egg and bunny toy have been aged to look old. This adorable piece measures 6” long x 9” high. The little bunny and elf are the perfect size for just about anywhere in your home and can be enjoyed for Easter or throughout the year!
