Antique, cased amber and hallmarked gold cheroot/cigar holder.
Nice to have the retailer, Litsica Marx of the Strand and Piccadilly, embossed on the side of the box.
The holder is 3.5\" long.
The marks are for Birmingham, 9.375, and date letter S. I believe it dates it to 1917.
Black leather, satin lined case with gilt edging and lettering. Case is 4\" x 1\".
Good used condition - wear commensurate with age. Box has some scuff marks and age stains inside.I\'m selling off my entire collection of cheroot holders. They have been stored in a cabinet drawer for many years.
