This is a very old, antique Cast Iron Door Knob with Lock / Thumb Latch, circa early 1800s.

It is in very good used condition, and still works. The screw fasteners are modern, shown for display purposes.

This has a cast iron knob on both sides, that is notched to accept door handles.

It has an unusual thumb lever action latch that can lock the door.

This measures about 5 inches wide, by 3 inches high.
