Antique Victorian Celluloid Box. This style is a gentlemen\'s collar box, it has 2 collars still inside. The box is in very good condition. The top which is all celluloid is in near mint condition with only very slight signs of wear on the back corners. The Gypsy portrait and flowers are mint. The box is covered in paper. The paper is a dark blue print. It does show signs of wear which can be seen in the photos. It does not detract from the piece. The hardware is all there and in good working order. The silk on the top of the inside of the box I believe is original. The bottom of the box is covered in bright pink and green paper. I don\'t know if that is original, it looks new, but it is so perfectly put in, it also looks original, just like it was very well taken care of. But again, I am not sure, I bought it like this and have not altered it in any way. The box measures approx. 6 1/4\" square. It is approx. 5\" high. This box does not have a musty odor like some of them do. I have a huge celluloid box collection and I am attempting to down size a bit so check out my other sales. I combine shipping whenever possible.I continue the great closet cleaning project, so keep checking back I am always adding clothing as well as some random household decorator items, some collectables and antiques, holiday decorations and anything else that finds it way into my path.
