Very Rare Antique Registered Design Chester Hallmarked C&S (Clark & Sewell) English Sterling Silver Cigarette/Card Case.

This is a marvellous rare item produced by English Silversmiths of repute James Clark and John Sewell. The company was registered in 1906 with premises in Legge Lane Birmingham and in Chester UK.

Registration number 710974 and hallmarks inside the case date exactly to 1925 Art Deco period. The item is beautifully handcrafted from solid silver and plated with 24ct gold interior. The springs and latch are in perfect order and it opens and closes with a lovely snap.

Please note. This case is well over 90 years old and whilst not perfect, condition is as in 12 pictures attached and commensurate with age. There are a couple of minor dents which were impossible to photograph with the camera lens and some wear to the gold gilding inside the case.
