What a Looker!

This antique Chinese hand mirroris remarkable - an intricate and beautiful creation ofsilver, enamel, turquoise, coral and natural white handle. You might pick this up to check your reflection and find yourself studying the mirror itself - the details are amazing! The heavy silver frame and back are covered with intricate filigree and colorful enamelled details. There are butterflies, flowers, leaves, ribbons, and a set of eight symbols, perhaps the auspicious Buddhist symbols. The mirrored glass is set into its frame with a pattern of looped silver wires and the handle is smooth white with natural grain.

I found this at an estate packed with amazing Asian antiques. Itis in excellent condition, clearly well cared-for, with the exception of one tiny chip on the edge of the mirror glass. This item is likely from the late 1800s to early 1900s. It measures 8 3/4\" long and 3 3/4\" wide and is marked \"silver\" on the frame near the handle. An absolute treasure for the serious collector.
