I believe these antique silvervasesare Chinese export silver circa 1895 or earlierbased on internet research. The wonderful designs in these vasesincorporate 2 dragons on each vase (one may be a phoenix, I\'m not sure).There seems to be cloud like designs throughout the body of the vases with a textured and hammered background. The base of each vase has what appears to be stylized waves which wrap completely around the circumference. The top of the vasesare decorated withstylized \"anchor like\" symbols that also run around the entire circumference.They are clearly hand made, the silver ishand worked as can be seen as thedesign is the same but the details in the design of each vase varies slightly as you would expect in hand madesilver objectssuch as these. Both vaseshave the sameChinese character marks as shown locatedon the bottom of each vase.Both vasesarein excellent condition.
