For your consideration is this Antique Chinese Letter Opener in it\'s Original Box.The Sheath that hold the Sword Letter Opener looks like it could be snake skin to me.I also think that except for the part that opens the envelopes (it looks like stainless steel) the rest of it looks like silver.
The sword without the sheath is about 5 1/2\" long. When it is in the sheath it is 6\" long.I can\'t find any markings on it.
The box is in really nice condition as well.
If anyone out there is knowledgeable about this letter opener, please feel free to contact me.I believe that my husband\'s grandfather brought it back from China during WWII.
