Antique late 19th century Chinese Qing Dynasty Ning hsia rug hand knotted with soft silky wool on a cotton foundation. An Ivory field ground with a peach central medallion mandala - like design surrounded by motifs of stylized creeping plants. Surrounded by a wide border in light blue, blue, navy, white and peach colors with various designs including a Greek key.

CONDITION: The rug in general is in good condition considering its age with full pile, No repairs, no holes or applied patches. Some loss to the two corners of the border, fringes with some wear and some stain marks. The photographs of the imperfections are attached to the listing.

Approximate measurements without the fringes: 8ft x 5ft (245 cm. x 153 cm).

This Rug comes from an old Canadian collection of Oriental Art, including many Chinese robe’s and related items which we are in the process of photographing and placing for sale for the first time.
