Antique wooden shrine figure from China, estimated late Ming Dynasty or early Qing Dynasty. Well carved with some original paint remaining. Rear prayer compartment appears unopened (probably contains paper prayers or offerings). Some chips and old, stable worm damage (see photos for condition). Purchased at sale years ago, this is part of my personal collection.
