I purchased this little snuff bottle from an elderly gentleman who had been collecting Chinese jade for many years and was selling some of his collection; he had owned it for many years. I do not wish to make claims that I can\'t substantiate but believe this to be an antique example; I am not an expert so please take a good look- it just feels old. There is some pitting and old chips around the neck but these add to the look of the piece rather than detract, it is a charming little item. The height is just under 5 cm and the diameter is 2.5 cm. The base looks like white quartz to me. I am selling many interesting things this week, please take a look. Thank you.
