The craftsmanship on this piece is exquisite and the green glaze is wonderful. This came from the estate of a retired serviceman and he had many Japanese and Chinese antiques. I know it is at least 70 years old and could be older. At first I thought Japanese because of the glaze and Mon like decoration but I am really not sure.
The base is 2 1/2\" in height with an opening of 4\". The lid is 4 1/2\" in diameter with a slightly domed top. I can find no markings for maker or origin.
There are no chips, cracks, or crazing. It is truly an awesome piece.
