Antique Japanese Satsuma Vase Raised-relief Familia Immortal Dragon design BEAUTIFUL vintage Satsuma raise-relief Japanese Vase~ Hand painted with FINE detail of raised carving- not exactly sure what type of material. Maybe a mix of plaster and ceramic with metal... This piece is heavy- weighs more than 3 lbs. Immortal dragons on each side of uniquely carved panels that appear to be hand painted with various colors. Raised dragon surrounds each side of the vase as shown with blue painted scales and fiery opened mouth. This piece is not signed onbottom- unmarked. My husband was told this piece could date from the 1890\'s or earlier...Dimensions approx: 12\" tall and base is 3\" by 4\" wide. Vase measures about 24\" around. Damage to one side as indicated in the pictures. This crack is not all the way thru- shows decent repair. Offered as is...
