Measures 64" square and border (including fringe and embroidery) is 8" wide. Black center with multi-colored border including, red, orange, turquoise and white. Very good condition for its age with one 1/4" hole in center and some spotting or fading to black fabric; this is not really visible in daylight but only under bright lighting. This type of shawl was often made to fold diagonally; creating a triangle shape as I\'ve shown in the photos. You fold it to offset the layers which displays all the borders at once, and then the reverse side of the embroidery, weaving or piecing will not be visible. This is apparent when you lay out the shawl flat and you can see two sides of the shawl will be right side out and the other two will be reverse side up .
