This original antique bullet mold is marked COLT\'S PATENT on the top. It makes conical and round .31 cal. bullets. It is 4 7/8\" long. 3/4\" deep and 1 1/8\" wide. It has a sliding spew cutter on top. I think this was made for the Colt 1851 vest pocket model or any other .31 cal muzzle loader.
This has some pitting overall, but is still in good working order.
