For BIN, an antique or very vintage boudoir or bed doll. She is not marked that I can find but appears to be French due to the clothing. She is 26 inches tall and all cloth. The face is a mask face but covers the whole head. The face paint is lovely with no rubs to the paint. The face is a darker yellow than I feel it should be so some age related discoloration. It is even and not dramatic. She has a nice mohair wig with waves and curls. In good condition. She wears a velvet beret with the original hat pin. The end of the pin has a pearly finish. I believe it is composition but not sure. Her dress shows some age and wear but it is lovely. It is all silk with floral silk embroidery on the neckline, sleeves and base of the jacket. The jacket closes with 3 silver metal buttons and she has a pendant pinned to the jacket. The pendant is brass with a pink glass stone in the center. She wears a white cotton blouse under the jacket with pin tucks on the bodice. There is a hook & eye closure in the back. The skirt is silk and very full. The back is full and gathered and looks to be made for a bustle. Her slip is white cotton very full so fills out the dress nicely. There are 4 layers of net lace ruffled trim with a scalloped edging. The pantaloons are white cotton with a wide net lace trim on the hemline. Her long black socks are ribbed cotton and look wonderful. They are original to the doll. Not positive about the silk and pantaloons since they look a bit newer. She came to me wearing them. They look fine on her and really compliment the dress. The doll\'s cloth body has stayed covered so very clean. Unfortunately, she is missing her shoes.
Condition: Good. She came from an estate doll collection. She is missing shoes. Wearing original silk dress. Dress shows some wear. Some fraying of the silk on the bodice, The silk trim on the hem line has mostly come off and there are a few holes in the silk on the skirt on the right side. Some age related darkening of the fabric on the face. Face paint is excellent. Shoes are missing but jacket, skirt and blouse are original. They are not sewn on. Close with buttons & hook eye closures. Slip and pantaloons maybe replaced but not sure. They are lovely and vintage but look a bit newer. Long black socks are original and wonderful. Velvet hat & hat pin are original and in good condition. No damage. Pendant is original to the doll. She is an antique or very vintage doll and is being sold as such and as is. She is not mint. Please read the description well and look carefully at the many pics. They are part of the description. I feel she is in good condition for her age. Silk does tend to fray when it ages but it is not brittle. I have not seen this Bed doll before so if you know who she is, please let me know. I could not find her in my cloth doll books.
