height=\"28px\" valign=\"middle\" face=\"arial\" style=\"text-decoration:none\" ....thanks for viewing this antique set of American Bald Eagles\' Bookends, set on solid turned wooden plinths (in semi-circle shapes), in excellent condition. These are from an Antique Estate sale in Dallas, Tx., and made around the turn of the 19th Century, (believed of American make). Pieces don\'t appear to be signed or marked, and bases have dark felt fabric applied onto bottoms. Eagles have outstretched wings hovering over and \'protecting\' globes with North America near their tops; (and globes are set within ocean waves). Each eagle\'s head and neck are painted white, with beaks in yellow and eyes in an orange color. The metallic sections need cleaning, and wooden stands need oil polishing, because they\'re rather dry and show age wear (though not cracked, chipped or deeply scratched). Each measures 9-5/8\" height, by 6-1/4\" width. Weights are slightly different; one being 3-lbs., 15 oz. and the other 3-lbs., 11 oz., or about 7-lbs., 10 oz. total, before packaging, andwill ship \'tracked\' within one business day of payment receipt.
