WeLOVE bunny rabbits and animals of all kinds! For your consideration, we are proud to present an adorable, seated, antique bunny rabbit candy container that was made in Germany in the very early 1900s. This sweetheart has wooden stick legs and he retainshis original glass eyes.Please meet the handsome Jumpin’ Jack! We love the colors of this bunny! He is in wonderful shades of golden taupe and creamy beige and he has black hand-painted accents to his mouth and wiggly nose. His eyes are a soulful dark brown.He was made from composition over formed and stapled paperboard (or what some refer to as paper or papier mache). His head removes so the candy could be placed inside of his body. He is very lightly stamped Germany on his underside – it is there but difficult to read.Our Jackmeasures 6 ¾” tall x 5 ¾” long.The exact condition is as follows: Jack is in excellent condition for his elderly age with only a small wooden piece missing from one front paw. Typical for these old candy containers, there is some slight crackling around the legs. He has a few very tiny rubs to the paint, which only adds to his charm.This is a sweet looking bunny and we think he would look magnificent placed in an old Easter basket surrounded by antique paper mache eggs. This just might be the perfectacquisition for the collector of bunny rabbits, wildlife collectibles, candy containers and/or Easter memorabilia.
