Antique Composition / Paper Mache Painted Face 17\" European Costume Doll This listing is for a wonderful antique composition or paper mache doll. It is very light so I am thinking paper mache. The face is painted, there is a little paint wear on the eyes. She has a costume that is attached to her and looks European. The shoes are wonderful they are braided like a rug on the bottom. The socks are worn and have holes in them. There is a doilie on the one side that has come loose on the doll and needs a few stitches to put it back on. She is jointed at the hips, shoulders and neck. She is the same material body and head. The hair is very coarse and has split ends, I think it is real hair. A very unique doll.
