Hand made sometime in the last half of the 19th century, this set of candy molds were probably used to form maple sugar candy. There are five heart shape molds and they were made from cut tin. One mold may be older and is a bit larger measuring around 2 7/8 inches across, 3 inches from top to point. The others have some slight variation in size averaging around 2 5/8 inches across and 3 1/8 inches top to point. Tin has toned, touches of rust here and there (none of which has broken through).
