Listing a group of 1850s/1860s photographs with cases tonight. This was an estate sale pickup from years ago, they came from the estate of a family named Badley just north of Baton Rouge - I know NOTHING about antique photographs except what I tried to learn off the web.
This is a matched pair of small cases. The images are printed on glass, and unfortunately, the one of the older gent has deteriorated, as shown. The younger boy\'s photo is still in decent condition but not without its flaws either. I imagine this was possible a father/son set of photos originally? All the photos I have listed came from the same family, and given they are all from the same vintage, these are the only two showing male subjects, so, I just presume it\'s a father/son combo. Wish they were in better condition, but, maybe somebody out there can restore that first image. Cases have a few issues, but are largely solid, the hinges on most of these were reinforced with some type of black cloth tape many years ago.
