This Dutch Delft manganese-based purple hand painted tiledates to the 18th-19th centuries. It depicts a flower pot, urn or jardinière with blooming tulips and has an iridescent glaze.

This is one of two similar tulip tiles. We have many antique tiles in our store, some with biblical scenes, some are not. All the manganese colored tiles we begin with are in the last two photos, and sold separately.

If you are purchasing several for a mural or to go in the same area, you might wish to match up the corner style. Please note that background colors vary from pale pink-purple to grayish blue, and the photography lights sometimes wash out these colors. Please feel free to ask about specific tiles by number if you want them to match closely.

Size: 5.1 x 5.1 x .35\" (one of our thicker tiles)

Condition:No breaks or repairs.Pitting to surface glaze. Edge chippiness, especially to the right side & top right corner.Back is nearly clean. Very faint crazing lines that seems to be in the background glaze, not the top glaze.
