AntiqueDoulton Lambeth Stoneware Jug with impressed letters CSSA, circa 1858 to circa1910.

Weare pleased to present this antique Doulton Stoneware Jug for yourconsideration. This gorgeous piece is styled somewhat like a Whiskey Jug, butwith a bit more of an English flavor to its design. It has a creamy tan lowersection with a brown upper portion and is impressed DOULTON LAMBETH which datesit to the approximate period of 1858 to 1910.

TheJug is 12-1/2 inches high and has a base that is 7 inches in diameter. Itweighs 8-1/4 pounds. Impressed towards the top are large script letters thatread CSSA .

The glazing is rough on some of the outsideedge surfaces and there are some scratches to the finish. There is one chip on thebottom edge and two chips on the top neck rim but no cracks or repairs, and werate the overall condition as very good (see pictures).

This is a fantastic Doulton Stoneware piece inexceptional condition for its age. It would make a wonderful addition to anycollection.
